Weird and wacky this week

The weird and wacky in the news this week:

Cynthia Rowley debuted her Spring 2013 collection with some pastel colour, foil-embellished fabrics and...bracelet flasks? Yes, she's created large bracelets that double as flasks. Quite inventive if you ask me. She says you can also fill them with water, for the non-alcoholic drinkers out there. But for those that want a quick sip at work, or out on the town...you can be more discreet than ever? Bizarre...we'll see if they catch on.

Also in some other wacky news... Felix Baumgartner (otherwise known as Fearless Felix, or in my opinion This Might End Badly Felix) will attempt to break the sound barrier while free-falling from space.On Tuesday Felix will jump from a balloon that has brought him 23 miles above earth and only in a pressurized suit and parachute he will descend from the sky faster than you can say "What was he thinking?"

Red Bull is sponsoring the event (of course, because Red Bull loves extreme sports, if you call this a sport). This event has been five years in the making. One thing that turns me off a little from this dare devil feat?  Oh right...some things to think about:

One tiny error could result in his blood boiling or his brain exploding. WHAT?!?!?!?!

Just another day for T.V. I tell you. Dr. Jonathan Clark, the operation's medical director had this to say "I have every expectation he'll come through this successfully, but you know, it is still an unknown." Comforting.

So on Tuesday, will we see something incredible happen and will Felix survive? Or will the world witness a horrible death for all to see? Only time will tell. Good luck Felix!
